Big Stan is a local far south coast spearo with a talent for machining. When he walked in to buy a new Wettie and showed us his pranger bases we were impressed.

EKF Diver Janine Geraghty has been using one for the last few months with great success. Particularly on Whiting. In her words, She now “lives the pranger life”. She was sick and tired of destroying poorly made production prangers in a few shots. The original “Big Stan” Pranger she trialled has been on her gun for months untouched including a few rocky blows.

Thanks to Stan, they are now available for sale. Options include 7mm 5 Barb, 5/16 5 Barb and 5/16 6 Barb (no SS collar) configuration.  They are light, strengthened with a SS collar and streamlined with good barb spread. A statement of hand-made quality.

Not only that we can fit them up for you with the best Mustad barbs on the market in 6 or 8 inch lengths. Or just purchase the bases and barbs separately and fit them up yourself. We can even customise a stainless shaft and pranger head for you to fit your existing gun. Or we can pranger fit up any gun in the Wettie range. Just call or message us.

We recommend using JB Marine Weld epoxy glue to secure barbs. Barbs can be replaced with heat to loosen glue.

Note. Prangers can be damaged in normal use requiring user maintenance.
